Installing a Dycem Patch (Grip for Bagpipe Cover)

All dycem patches must be sewn on, they are not self-adhesive. To sew on a patch you need to remove one side of the plastic sheeting that they are wrapped in, leaving the other side intact. Position the patch on the bag cover with the plastic sheeting side facing up. Pin in position and sew on with a sewing machine. Once you are done sewing, you can then remove the plastic sheet. If you don't leave on the plastic sheet, the Dycem will be too sticky to move through the sewing machine.
