Kinnaird Bagpipes and Reeds
Fact # 2 ....... LOUD Noises!
Outdoors, the sound produced by the bagpipes can reach up to 111 decibels, which is equivalent to the noise of a pneumatic drill! Indoors, pipes can reach 116 decibels, which is as loud as a chainsaw. Yikes!! Snare drums can hit up to 122 decibels -

GHB Enchanter Whistle
GHB Enchanter Whistle Description

GHB Enchanter Whistle

Sandy Jasper has developed a whistle with the same holes as a highland chanter. These will enable pipers to play songs using familiar fingerings and give them the opportunity to join in at sessions without having to be in a different room! Currently they are made in the key D. The pipes are not tuned to the standard 440 that most concert instruments are. Yes, chanter whistles do have the thumb hole at the back, 7 holes in the front and are played by using the same fingering as the GHB Bag pipes.

Great whistle! As a piper it's nice to have that thumb hole in the back!
