These little devices will amaze you at their ability to wick up moisture and prevent dripping where it’s not wanted. My practice chanter reed always has one attached.

I ws sceptical when I was given one of these, but not only do they work, they work great. I can play for an hour easily without needing to blow out the PC. I wouldn't go without one now.

This is a no-brainer. It is simple and works so well. Even with a water trap in your practice chanter, this "sponge" will absorb humidity and grow to prove it! Keeps your playing clean and stops the saliva from leaking down to your fingers from inside the PC bottom section...

What a great invention. It keeps those nasty drips from ruining your new copy of the Scots Guards. It works!

I tried these on my Gibson and my McCallum practice chanters. They do ok until they soak fill upwith the moisture, but then you're stuck with it wet. And it stays wet. You have to pull the reed to take it off, but then I've changed my tuning, so I finally gave up on them.
