Redpipes

Sound is produced by applying pressure to the bag under your arm, just like the original thing.

The redpipe covers a wide range of keys, allowing you to play along with any other instrument.

Equipped with a qualitiy chanter from McCallum Bagpipes, combined with unique electronics and a pressure sensitive leather bag, the redpipe provides the look and feel of a real bagpipe.

-Drones and chanter are pneumatically activated by varying the pressure on the bag
-Overall volume control (drones individually)
-Key transposition across a wide range

Santa came early this year and brought me a new toy! I've got the classic version. The bag gives them a feel very close to real pipes. These are a blast to play with both highland and small pipes sounds. I can now play pipes to headphones and not disturb the other members of the household who like to sleep in. For letting others hear the output, I've added a Roland Microcube amp. The amp adds all sorts of sound effects. Heavy metal pipes anyone?!
