Installation of Grommet Pipe Bag
Professional installation of grommet bags such as Bannatyne, Scotian L&M, Ross, Canmore or Gannaway. Only the 5 stocks are required. Service includes removal of the old bag, tie-on the new bag (supplied or purchased separately). Ross, Scotian L&M, and Gannaway chanter stocks are tied in. Bannatyne and Ross chanter stocks are tied in using clamps supplied unless specified. Tested for air tightness.
Moisture control systems supplied will be installed. Ross and Bannatyne typically come with moisture control systems.
Hide bags are disposed of as they cannot be reused. Synthetic bags are returned unless disposal is requested.
Installation Hide Pipe Bags
Professional installation of hide bags such as L&M hide or L&M Scotian, or Gannaway. Only the 5 stocks are required. Service includes removal of the old bag, cut holes (Gannaway holes are pre-cut) when necessary, and tie-on the new bag (supplied or purchased separately).
The bag as recommended by the manufacturer. Hide bags are seasoned with Air Tight which must be purchased separately. Gannaway bags come with a primer. Scotian bags do not need any initial treatment but come with a sealant that can be used later.
Tested for air tightness.
Holes are cut according to the measurements outlined in Captain John MacLellan's handbook.
